Fundraising for school camp

Camp is held every two years. For years 7–8 this is a week-long trip to Curious Cove (in the Marlborough Sounds), and for years 5–6, El Rancho. Camp is held in February/March, when the weather is most stable, so fundraising begins the year before, when those who will be going to camp are in years 4–7.

This year (2016) is a fundraising year, and children will be off to camp in early 2017.

The PFA does everything we can to support our families with children going to camp, and it becomes one of our main fundraising focusses in the year before (we still fund-raise for other projects, as well). For those children who aren't going to camp this time, it's a great opportunity for them to see how our community works together to support one another, and for them to help out their whanau buddies. In a few years' time they will be going, and others will be helping to support them, so they learn about paying it forward.

Do let us know if you can join the PFA to help out with fundraising – many hands make light work.
